Chrome-plated steel, velvet and a form that has become part of design history.
Marcel Breuer’s Cesca chair, designed in 1928, is based on the relationship between a continuous metal frame and a seat designed to provide comfort through the flexibility of its structure.
Its cantilevered construction removes the rear legs and creates a sense of visual lightness. The original version featured bentwood and Vienna straw. Over time, the model has also been reinterpreted with fabric and leather upholstery.
Here, you can see the green velvet version changes its tactile and chromatic presence while keeping the geometry of the frame and the balance between solid and empty areas at the centre.
A recognisable chair with the ability to define a dining area, study or living space.
