This winter, Japan showed one of its most magical sides.

From late January to early February, we experienced nearly two weeks of on-and-off snowfall, transforming towns, mountains, and countryside landscapes into a breathtaking winter wonderland. Snow gently blanketed temples, forests, vineyards, and traditional streets, creating scenes that felt straight out of a postcard.

Did you travel to Japan this winter to experience the snow?

Winter is one of the most rewarding seasons to explore Japan. Beyond the beauty of snow-covered scenery, travelers can enjoy peaceful sightseeing away from crowds, seasonal cuisine at its best, relaxing hot springs surrounded by snow, and unique cultural experiences that are only possible during the colder months.

For many of our guests, witnessing Japan in winter becomes a highlight of their journey—quiet, elegant, and deeply memorable. If you’ve experienced Japan’s winter landscapes with us, we’d love to hear your story. And if not, we hope to welcome you in the snow-filled seasons to come.
