A Mediterranean Home, Reimagined for Modern Living 🌿

A glimpse into one of our latest residential interior design projects in Kottikawatta, created for a small family who wanted a home that feels warm, relaxed and distinctly personal.

The design brings together the timeless character of Mediterranean interiors with clean, contemporary elements—using warm timber tones, earthy textures, soft curves, patterned fabrics, natural greenery and carefully layered lighting to create a welcoming atmosphere throughout the home.

From the living and dining spaces to the kitchen, staircase, bar area and carefully designed furniture pieces, every element has been planned to balance aesthetics, comfort and everyday functionality.

The design phase is now complete, and we are moving into the implementation stage, where these concepts begin taking shape as a real home.

✨ From concept to reality — the next chapter begins.

From Design to Fabrication. The Vision Is Taking Shape.

Our Nawala residence project has now moved into the furniture fabrication stage, bringing the ultra-modern design concept one step closer to reality.

Here’s a glimpse into the fabrication process for some of the bespoke furniture pieces being crafted for the home. From precise detailing and material selection to finishing and quality control, every element is being carefully executed to stay true to the original design.

The project includes the foyer, living and dining areas, 3 bedrooms, a private home cinema, and a rooftop terrace — all designed as one cohesive living experience.

From concept to craftsmanship, we’re bringing the design to life.

Buying your dream apartment is only the first step. Planning the interior is where the real challenge begins.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of helping homeowners create spaces that reflect their lifestyle and aspirations.

Along the way, I've also seen how exciting projects can quickly turn into stressful experiences. More often than not, the root cause is the lack of a clear plan before any purchases or decisions are made.

After finding the perfect apartment, many homeowners are suddenly asking:

• Where do I start?
• What's the best layout?
• How much should I budget?
• Which materials should I choose?
• Where do I source quality materials?
• How do I find the right contractor?
• How do I compare quotations?
• Who can I trust?

The reality is that these questions should be answered before a single cabinet is built or a single rupee is spent.

That's what inspired me to develop a more structured approach to apartment interior planning—helping homeowners make informed decisions, avoid costly mistakes, and begin their interior journey with confidence.

This isn't about selling furniture or interior design services. It's about giving apartment owners a clear roadmap before they start.

To share this approach, I've put together an Apartment Interior Planning Prospectus. If you've recently invested in an apartment—or know someone who has—I'd be happy to share a copy and walk you through the concept.

I'd also love to hear from you.

If you've completed an apartment interior, what was the biggest challenge you faced?

Your experience could help someone else avoid the same mistakes.

📩 Send me a direct message if you'd like a copy of the Apartment Interior Planning Prospectus, or simply reach out for a conversation.

When design is thoughtfully tailored to a client's lifestyle and budget, even the simplest spaces can become a sanctuary.

This 1-bedroom bachelor home was thoughtfully designed around our client's lifestyle, priorities, and budget. Despite its compact footprint, the space comfortably accommodates a living area, dining space, and bedroom on the ground floor, while the rooftop has been transformed into a private lounge, workstation, and terrace—creating the perfect setting to relax, work, entertain, and enjoy the outdoors.

Great design isn't about the size of a space. It's about understanding how people live and creating environments that are tailored to their individuality.

With careful planning and thoughtful design, any space can be brought to life in a way that is functional, beautiful, and uniquely yours.

Designing Your Dream Kitchen? Keep These Key Points in Mind.

A beautiful kitchen is important—but a well-planned kitchen makes everyday living easier. Here are five key things to consider before starting your kitchen design:

✅ 1. Prioritize Functionality
The layout should allow easy movement between the cooking, washing, and preparation areas.

✅ 2. Plan Storage Wisely
Good storage isn't just about having more cabinets—it's about having the right storage in the right places.

✅ 3. Choose Materials That Last
Countertops, cabinetry, and finishes should be selected not only for appearance but also for durability and ease of maintenance.

✅ 4. Don't Overlook Lighting
A combination of task lighting and ambient lighting can completely change the look and functionality of your kitchen.

✅ 5. Think Beyond Today
Design your kitchen to accommodate future needs, appliances, and changing lifestyles.

The best kitchens aren't simply built—they're thoughtfully planned.
