MY TAKE ON THE P-SQUARE FAMILY FEUD
From all the explanations and interviews shared by both parties, one thing seems constant. Although Paul and Jude have not fully responded to every allegation Peter made, some of the videos and body language shared by Peter suggest that the family issues may have started around the time he began dating Lola, and things reportedly became worse when she became pregnant.
If what Peter said about how his wife was treated is true, then Nigeria truly needs a revival in the way we see one another.
How can anyone hate or reject another person simply because they come from a different tribe or region?
Sadly, this mentality still exists today. To some people, once you're not from their tribe, you're treated like an outsider or even less than human. This has to stop. Before we became Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Ebira, Tiv, Idoma, okun, or any other tribe, we were first human beings, created by God.
This topic reminds me of a personal experience.
While I was in school, I met a lady named Jovita from Enugu. We developed feelings for each other. Whenever I asked her out, she would decline. One day, I asked her why, because I could clearly see that the feelings were mutual. She admitted that she loved me, but said her parents insisted that she must marry someone from the East, preferably from Enugu.
I was shocked. It felt like something I had only seen in movies.
Why should a person's tribe matter more than their character?
The Bible's standard for marriage is built on faith, love, responsibility, and godly character—not tribe. If someone is responsible, hardworking, and fears God, why should their state of origin become a barrier?
Sometimes it seems that those who insist on marrying only within their tribe would rather choose a devil from their own tribe than an angel from another. They assume everyone from their tribe is good, while others are not. That mindset only divides us and holds us back as a nation.
Let's judge people by their values, integrity, and the content of their character—not by where they come from.
Nigeria is stronger when we embrace one another.
