Over the past few years, we have been very fortunate to contribute to several beautiful projects by Heidi Caillier Design. Each one has been exciting to be part of, but when Heidi reached out to us for Delft tiles for her own home, it naturally felt a little extra special.
Seeing the finished result featured in the September 2026 issue of Architectural Digest made it even more exciting. We immediately reached out to photographer Haris Kenjar, and are very happy to now be able to share these beautiful images of Heidi’s kitchen with you.
For her kitchen, Heidi selected hand-painted Delft tiles. Several different series were brought together: P-3 | Large Flowers, P-7.1 | Small Flowers, P-8 | Small Scenes, P-17 | Springers and P-11 | Landscapes, mixed throughout with plain white tiles.
All tiles were painted in a warm manganese colour on the Claes Mix, a combination of six different base shades inspired by the natural variation found in original antique Delft tile installations. Together with the mix of different designs, this gives the backsplash a relaxed and playful character, with something different to discover from one tile to the next.
We especially love the choice of manganese here. Its warm tone works beautifully with the natural materials and colours throughout the kitchen, while the different scenes and flowers bring just the right amount of detail.
From the antique Delft tiles that provide the inspiration at Regts, to their recreation by hand at Poarte, it is wonderful to see that connection eventually find its place in Heidi’s own home. 💙
