✨ From a divided space to a warm, connected home.

This home on the Admiralengracht in Amsterdam already had it all: large windows, plenty of light, an open floor plan. But the different zones felt disconnected and lacked character. A complete renovation changed all of that.
The kitchen — once tucked away in a corner — is now the true heart of the home. A cooking island, a dedicated coffee corner, and a statement pendant lamp that ties it all together.

Designed to frame the light 🪟🤎

One of our favorite details in this Amsterdam apartment: a custom-made bookcase in oak veneer, designed to frame the window rather than compete with it.
Instead of losing wall space to a standard cabinet, we built the shelving around the window — turning an awkward corner into a functional, sculptural feature that draws the eye up and lets daylight flow through the room uninterrupted.

Beautifully crafted by furniture maker Meubelmakerij-Houtwerk, the oak veneer echoes the flooring, the dining table, and the coffee table throughout the home, tying the whole space together in one quiet, consistent material story. Small architectural choices like this are often what make an interior feel truly custom.
