🌿 A little sneak peek of the Blue House Garden…

This weekend, we’re popping up at Jenny Cooper, and we couldn’t be more excited to share a little of Jenny’s beautiful garden with you! 🌸

Jenny and her family have created something pretty special here, with a gorgeous mix of colour, texture and clever planting that works with our hot, dry North Canterbury summers.

Jenny’s been shopping with us at CJ’s for years, so we’ve got a pretty good idea of what’s growing in her garden. 😉 We’ll be bringing along some of her favourite plants so you can take a little inspiration home with you, too.

Come for a wander, get inspired and have a chat with us about what might work in your own garden.

🌿 We’re popping up at this weekend!

We’re always so inspired by the incredible work Jenny and her family have done creating a garden that thrives in North Canterbury’s hot, dry summers.

The Blue House garden is a dry garden — designed to look beautiful while needing less water, even through those long, dry summer months. ☀️

Jenny’s been a loyal CJ’s customer for years, so we’ve been taking notes on the plants she’s bought from us and bringing some of those very same plants down to the Blue House this weekend!

It’s a brilliant chance to see how these plants look once they’re established, get some inspiration for your own garden, and find plants that can handle our Canterbury climate.

Come and say hi! 💚

Spring is here and the nursery is popping with flowers and new leaves! Here are our highlights -

Flowering Cherry - Prunus Falling Snow
With a 1.2M graft these are perfect for those smaller city gardens

The Famous Hagley park flowering cherry tree - create a real statement along your drive.

Japanese Maple - Acer Viridis & Crimson Queen
Grafted Japanese maples another excellent option for a smaller garden

Ornamental Crab Apple - Malus Flamingo
These have a very straight and upright growth habit so they don't bush out too wide - with an amazing pink flower show these are great in a row.

Euphorbia Fire Glow - dry garden lover - these die back over winter and produce new shoots with coral flowers in spring.

Clematis Pink Ch*****ne - these love to have cool feet, and full sun as they climb up a fence or trellis.
