🐦✨ From nature to something beautiful. 🕯️

Meet our furnACE Native Birds Candle Holder Collection!

Inspired by five of Aotearoa's beautiful native birds, each piece begins with an original design and is brought to life in our little Helensville workshop.

Real timber. Intricate laser engraving. Plenty of hands-on craftsmanship. And a warm candlelit glow to finish it all off. 🔥

From the first design to the final finishing touches, here's a little glimpse of what goes into creating them.

🇳🇿 Proudly designed and made in New Zealand.

🔥 **When the artwork comes to life...** 😂

Meet the crew behind our Kiwi Sausage Sizzle!

🪶 A kiwi taking charge of the barbie.
🍺 A tūī enjoying a cold one.
🐦 Two pīwakawaka having a good old gossip.

Just your average Kiwi summer afternoon! 🇳🇿

But here's the twist...

This wonderfully ridiculous scene is actually an original furnACE design, brought to life in solid timber.

Every dark detail is genuine American walnut, precision laser-cut and individually hand-inlaid into a substantial reclaimed macrocarpa serving board.

**Not engraved. Not printed. Real timber inlay.**

The new furnACE Native Bird Wall Art collection is now live.

First up: the Fiordland Crested Penguin / Tawaki.

Each piece is designed, cut, stained, assembled and framed by hand in our Helensville workshop. Built in three layers of walnut-stained birch, crisp white acrylic and grey-stained timber, then finished in a solid macrocarpa frame.

This is a new direction for furnACE: more depth, more detail, and a proper collection celebrating some of Aotearoa’s incredible native birds.

For every Native Bird Wall Art piece sold, we set aside $2 for quarterly donations supporting New Zealand native-bird conservation.

The tawaki is unlike any other penguin in the range of New Zealand wildlife: a crested bird of surf, steep coast and rainforest. This hero piece places the Fiordland crested penguin within a detailed coastal habitat of native foliage, rock and shoreline forms. The white chest and eye detail are give...
