Little rigging job last week.
Unfortunately this old Golden Elm tree had succumbed to Dutch Elm Disease, so it had to go to make way for a new driveway and gate.

Like all deciduous trees, we always recommend to carry out any major restructure or prune from late autumn to mid winter.
This is when the tree is in its dormant growth phase and much less prone to falling ill.
