A new home in Jack’s Point, designed for Fowler Homes Queenstown
 
Two simple gabled forms are shaped around a sheltered entrance and outdoor courtyard, with openings carefully positioned to frame views towards The Remarkables and Coronet Peak beyond.
 
Charred timber and schist ground the house within the alpine landscape, while warmer timber detailing brings definition and warmth to the entry.

PE-24 is bringing 27 new public and shared-ownership homes to Point England as part of Tāmaki Regeneration wider regeneration programme.

The project is about more than delivering buildings. It is about contributing well-designed, enduring homes and supporting better housing outcomes across New Zealand.

An underused garage footprint…. reimagined as a lakeside retreat.

This Queenstown project began with a standard Versatile garage. Within that same compact footprint, we created a refined self-contained accommodation overlooking Lake Whakatipu.

Dark, tactile materials, integrated joinery and carefully framed views give the interior warmth, depth and a strong connection to the alpine landscape.

The project shows that architectural value does not always come from building more. Sometimes it comes from recognising the potential in what is already there.

Work is underway on two new homes on a steep hillside site.

The house is broken into simple pitched forms that follow the slope, with dark vertical cladding and timber-lined openings.

Refining the material palette for a private residence currently in development in Hawke’s Bay.
