What a night at the 2026 Best Design Awards! ✨

We were stoked to be finalists in the Workplace Environments category for our Aderant workplace, alongside an inspiring lineup of projects showcasing the very best in design. It was a fantastic evening celebrating creativity, innovation and the incredible talent across our industry.

A huge thank you to Aderant for the trust, collaboration and partnership throughout the project. It was a pleasure bringing this space to life together and being part of an evening celebrating great design.

Every day, the Tourism New Zealand team tells the story of Aotearoa to the world. Their new workplace, designed and delivered by Studio DB, reflects that story too.

Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to develop a workplace shaped by the essence of Aotearoa, where nature, culture and people come together.

A palette of natural timbers, stone greys, deep greens, earthy tones and layered textures creates a space that feels authentic, welcoming and distinctly of this place, while contemporary forms bring a fresh, considered feel to the workplace.

Thank you to the team at Tourism New Zealand for trusting us with this project, and for the incredible work you do sharing Aotearoa with the world.

60 years of Studio DB 🎉

Last Thursday, we celebrated six decades of workplaces designed and delivered, great relationships built and plenty of memorable projects along the way.

A huge thank you to our clients, mentors, partners and Studio DB team, past and present, for being such an important part of our journey.

We loved hearing from George Tamarai, Jay Curtis and Joe Bruce as they reflected on the workplaces we’ve delivered together and the relationships built along the way.

And a special thank you to one of New Zealand’s leading sports figures for the years of strategic guidance, perspective and support shared with Studio DB.

60 years is a milestone, but it’s really a celebration of the people who have made the journey what it is.

Last week, the Studio DB team took part in the Shine for a Cure Walk in support of Blood Cancer New Zealand.

Together, we raised an incredible $5,000, contributing to an amazing $135,000+ raised for the event and counting! 🙌

We recently sat down with Elizabeth Hart and Anna Howard from EF, a global language education provider, to hear firsthand about their experience working with Studio DB.

Following their move to Auckland’s waterfront, Anna and Elizabeth share what led to the decision to relocate, the vision for their new learning environment, and the partnership with Studio DB.

EF opens doors for students to learn, connect and experience new cultures. The new environment was designed to support this experience for both students and staff.
