If you're choosing your kitchen tile based on what catches your eye, you're doing it wrong.

A family kitchen needs durable, easy-clean surfaces. A smaller apartment kitchen often suits lighter tiles that keep the space feeling open. A kitchen built for entertaining can carry a stronger feature tile or a full-height splashback. And where there's a scullery or laundry connection, a more practical finish handles water, cleaning products and regular use.

Great kitchen tiling starts with the layout, not just the tile itself. It needs to suit the cabinetry, benchtop, lighting, appliances and the way people move through the space.

Peter, Lam and Andrew have been busy over in Takapuna, tackling three bathrooms with plenty of curved walls!

We’re working alongside Richard Davidson Builders and Katie from Sticks+Stones Design on this one, with plenty of interesting design details for the team to get stuck into.
