🏆 Great builds are all about the details.

Very cool to see Knight Garage Doors in the Auckland House of the Year Regional Magazine, alongside this incredible Milldale home by Stark Building.

Stark Building took home Regional Supreme House of the Year, Regional Category Winner and Regional Gold — an outstanding achievement.

Projects like this are a great reminder of how much thought goes into every element of a new build. A garage door isn't just functional — its position, colour, finish and detailing all contribute to the overall architecture and street appeal.

We love working alongside builders who care about getting those details right.

Congratulations to the Stark Building team on a very well-deserved result. 👏

A quick look inside the Knight workshop.

Shelves stocked.
Parts sorted.
Everything in its place.

It’s not the part of the job most people see —
but it’s what keeps things running smoothly out on site.

A bit of prep behind the scenes makes a big difference when something needs fixing.

Only a few homeowners know this… 👇

Your garage door spring does almost all the heavy lifting.
When it fails, it’s usually a loud bang — and suddenly the door won’t move. You’ll often see the spring separated or hanging loose, looking like it’s snapped in two.

But the warning signs show up earlier.
Openers start to struggle. Parts wear faster. The door feels heavier than it should.

Fixing it before it snaps can save you from being stuck in or out, avoid an emergency call-out, and prevent extra damage.

If your spring looks tired or the door sounds different, get it checked. We’ll handle it safely and properly.

We’re back! 👋

After a well-earned Christmas break, the Knight Garage Doors team is back on deck today and ready to get stuck into 2026.

Whether it’s a repair that’s been waiting, a door that didn’t quite survive the summer heat, or something new you’ve been thinking about over the holidays — we’re here and ready to help.

Thanks for your patience over the break, and we’re looking forward to a great year ahead. See you out there 🔧💚

☀️ Our favourite summer spots in Aotearoa ☀️

With the Christmas break here and summer in full swing, we thought we’d share a few of our team’s favourite places to unwind around New Zealand — the spots we love escaping to when we’re not working on garage doors.

• Mathias: Kai Iwi Lakes – clear water and proper summer vibes
• Finlay: The Coromandel – beaches, bush walks, and a slower pace
• Elijah: Papamoa – sun, surf, and long summer days
• Gawain & Michelle: Waipū Cove – salt air, swims, and total reset
• Julie: Piha – wild coast, black sand, and dramatic sunsets

Where’s your go-to summer spot?

Stay safe, enjoy the break, and have a great summer from all of us at Knight Garage Doors ☀️💚

🌊 A summer reminder from all of us at Knight Garage Doors 🌊

As the weather warms up and beach days are back on the cards, here’s a friendly reminder to swim between the flags and keep an eye on conditions — even on calm-looking days.

A huge thank you to our incredible Surf Lifesavers, who give up their time to keep our beaches safe all summer long. If you see them on patrol, give them a wave or a thank you — they’re absolute legends.

Stay safe, enjoy the sunshine, and have a great summer wherever you’re spending it ☀️🏖️

As we wrap up for Christmas, we just want to say a huge thank you to all of our customers for your support throughout the year. Whether we repaired your door, installed a new one, or simply gave some advice — we truly appreciate the trust you place in us.

Knight Garage Doors will be closed from Tuesday 23rd December and re-opening on Monday 12th January 2026, as our team takes a well-earned break with family and friends.

We hope you have a safe, relaxing, and joyful Christmas, and enjoy some well-deserved downtime over the holidays. Thank you for being part of our journey — we can’t wait to see you again in 2026.

Merry Christmas from our family to yours 🎄

🏆 We’re incredibly proud to share that Knight Garage Doors has won the Excellence in Customer Experience Award at the 2° Auckland Business Awards.

To also be named a Top 3 finalist in the People’s Choice Award, voted by the public, makes this recognition even more special.

This award belongs to our team, who show up every day with care, skill, and pride — and to our customers, who trust us with their homes and took the time to support and vote for us.

We were up against an incredible group of local businesses, and we feel genuinely honoured to be recognised alongside them.

Thank you for backing our small family business — this one means a lot. 💚
