🏡 A beautiful exterior coming together in Waiuku! 🎨

Some of our boys have been back out in Waiuku over the past month, working on a new build for our client, Beaumont Electrical.

The combination of dark Coloursteel cladding, black soffits and timber finished in Dulux New Zealand Cabot’s Natural Decking Oil - Traditional Pine looks fantastic! 😍 The warm tones of the timber really complement the dark exterior, while the black soffits tie everything together for a sleek, modern finish.

Great work by the team! 👏💚

📸 BEHIND THE LENS… AND BEHIND THE SCENES! 😂

Last week, we were back out on site in Waiuku, capturing a little behind-the-scenes action!

While Alicia from Morley Media was busy photographing Jay spraying the interior of one of our new builds for Beaumont Electrical, I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of her in action too! 📷

It's been great getting out on site and capturing the team doing what they do best. These behind-the-scenes moments are exactly what we want to showcase as we continue building our online presence.

Stay tuned - we've got more to share soon!

👨‍🔧 LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON! 🎨💚

Some of you might remember us sharing a photo of our Senior Painter / Job Supervisor Barry with his son John, who has since moved on to his next adventure.

Well, Barry is now coming up to an incredible 10 YEARS with Elite Decorating! 🙌 And he’s had his other son, Jake, working alongside him for nearly 2 years now!

It’s pretty cool still having two generations of the same family as part of the Elite team. 💚

And as you can see from these photos, it’s not all serious business on the job! 😂 We work hard, take pride in what we do, but there’s always room for a bit of banter and a laugh along the way.

A huge thanks to Barry for his loyalty and commitment over the past decade, and to Jake for being part of the team too. We appreciate having you both on board! 👏

Happy Friday, everyone! Have a great weekend from all of us at Elite Decorating. ☀️

🔎 ARE YOU A BIT FUSSY?

GOOD. WE'RE LOOKING FOR EXACTLY THAT.

We're looking for a Touch-Up & Finishing Specialist to join the Elite Decorating team.

This isn't your typical painting role.

We're looking for someone with a seriously good eye for detail - someone who notices the little things other people don't.

The tiny mark.
The missed edge.
The imperfect cut-in.
The little roller line.
The area that just doesn't look quite right.

Because when we're finishing a job, those little things matter.

🎨 YOUR ROLE
You'll be the person we trust to visit our completed projects and make sure they're genuinely finished to the high standard our clients expect from Elite Decorating.

You'll be moving between our finished jobs, carrying out touch-ups, checking completed work and picking up those little imperfections before the job is signed off.

You'll also be working closely with our painters and supervisors to help maintain the standard we're proud of.

WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
✔️ Has painting/decorating experience
✔️ Has an exceptional eye for detail
✔️ Takes real pride in their work
✔️ Is particular about producing a quality finish
✔️ Can spot things others might overlook
✔️ Has good colour awareness and touch-up skills
✔️ Can work independently and manage their own day
✔️ Is reliable, honest and takes responsibility for their work
✔️ Has great communication and people skills
✔️ Holds a clean NZ driver's licence

You don't have to be the fastest painter in the room.

We want the person who looks at a finished wall and thinks:

"Hang on… that doesn't look quite right."

…and then fixes it. 👌

WHAT WE OFFER
💰 $25–$30 per hour depending on experience
🚐 Company vehicle
👕 Uniforms, tools & work boots provided
📚 Training & development
🏠 Variety of residential / commercial painting projects
🤝 A good team and a boss who genuinely looks after his people
📈 A growing Franklin-based painting company with plenty of work ahead

ABOUT ELITE DECORATING
We've been painting and decorating around the Franklin area for years, and we're serious about the quality of work we put our name to.

We're growing, and as Lisa moves into a more supervisory and Health & Safety-focused role within the business, we're looking for someone who can step into the finishing and touch-up side of the role and become an important part of our team.

You’ve got to love winter in New Zealand… 🌦️😅

One minute it's raining, the next the sun's out... then it's raining again! The weather has definitely been keeping us on our toes lately.

Despite the unpredictable conditions, we're stoked with the progress on one of our latest new builds in Patumahoe for our valued client DW Homes.

The cladding has been painted in Dulux Flaxpod, and it's looking sharp! 👌 The rich, dark finish really complements the home's modern design and is starting to bring the whole project to life.

When the weather's played nice, we've been making great progress outside. When it hasn't, we've simply shifted indoors and kept the project moving. 💪

We can't wait to show you the finished result!
