Wallflower Botanica

One of the images I really wanted to include in the calendar but didn’t…so she deserves her time in the limelight, nestled in her beautiful thrifted crystal vase!! Nothing beats the sunshiney face of a daffodowndilly 🌼
It was brought to my attention by a calendar enthusiast that there was no local delivery option on my new website 😳 Oh no dear locals I would never let you down! Rest assured this has been amended, and anyone living in Cambridge 100% has free delivery 🚚
Always get in touch if you have any questions x

Peony season is here! I haven’t quite managed to get my hands on any yet but here are a few pics I’ve taken over the years. These queens are just the bees knees, and I adore the way their colours change when their blooms are opening.
The peony symbolises romance, prosperity, good fortune and happiness, its lush, abundant blooms embodying the beauty of love and a life in full bloom.

Despite their fragile papery petals and spindly stems (which is what I adore about them), the Icelandic poppy is a very resilient flower, able to tolerate cold temperatures and frosty conditions. In various cultures, Iceland poppies are associated with peace, prosperity and the remembrance of lost loved ones. Love! Thank you to my friend Sandra for these beauties 😍

Nothing else screams SPRING in Aotearoa like a Kowhai tree in full bloom. There’s nothing quite like standing under a Kowhai when a bunch of Tui birds are getting drunk on the nectar!
Love love love 💛💛💛

First draft of the Wallflower 2027 calendar is off to the printer! Watch this space 👁️
This year’s images bring together thrifted glass and crystal vases with beautiful blooms — a celebration of simple flowers, forgotten treasures, and the quiet beauty that emerges when the two are brought together 🩷💐

Oh I do love me some Hellebores! I foraged a little bunch yesterday, before they are gone until next year. A patch of hellebores in bloom is good for the soul!
In the Victorian language flowers, the hellebore flower was said to symbolize ‘scandal and calumny’. I had zero idea what calumny but google tells me it means a false and damaging accusation about someone — malicious and slanderous! Gossip! Disgrace! Nasty rumours! Not my beautiful Miss Hellebore!

I’m not waiting for the equinox! For me, September first is S P R I N G 🌱🌻🌸🌷🪻Hooray!!
To celebrate, here is a peek at my new range of cards. Spring blooms in a simple glass vase, images which you may recognise from my 2025 calendar. I think they were worthy of a second go at something! They have come up beautifully as cards.
If you’d like to know how to purchase just get in touch!
Happy Sept 1st x x

This image was taken a while ago, but I just love simple, humble arrangements of blooms picked from the garden! Sometimes all you need is a few sprigs of something to brighten a window ledge. Despite her simplicity, she packs a punch:
Daisies symbolise innocence and new beginnings, yarrow represents healing and protection, red valerian speaks of strength and resilience, and purple toadflax adds a sense of grace and enduring beauty.
PS: I am an unashamed lover of pink 🩷
