Only seems like yesterday 🤙🏼

We had plenty to celebrate at this year’s Fencing Industry Awards in Nelson 🏆

The inaugural FCANZ Large Project of the Year went right down to the wire, with just 0.495 points separating all three entries. Nick Terry and the Custom Fencing team came out on top with their Port Otago MacAndrew Road Boundary Project, with GB Fencing and Heasley Fencing And Earthworks close behind as runners-up.

The individual awards went to:

🔨 Level 3 Trainee of the Year - Rhodri Pryce (Omata Fencing)
🔨 Level 4 Excellence Award - Tom Rathgen (Rathgen fencing)
🔨 Emerging Talent Award - Noah Jaunay (Precise Fencing)
🔨 Industry Contribution Award - Hugh Morrison (Strainrite)
🔨 Women of Influence Award - Joelene Bouskill (S & J Contractors)

A big congratulations to every winner, finalist, nominee and project entrant.

We’re incredibly proud and honoured to have been named FCANZ Project of the Year.

Winning this award is a fantastic achievement for our team, and we’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make it possible.

Firstly, thank you to Port Otago for trusting us with your project and for your support throughout the entire process. It was a privilege to deliver a project of this calibre.

A special thank you to Edgesmith and Boundaryline for supplying quality products and for your support throughout the project. Having reliable suppliers who stand behind their products makes a real difference, and we greatly appreciate your contribution.

A huge thank you to FCANZ – Fencing Contractors New Zealand for hosting another outstanding conference and awards evening. Thank you also to the judges and sponsors for recognising the hard work and dedication that goes into projects like these.

Congratulations to all of the other finalists and entrants. The quality of work on display highlights the strength of the fencing industry in New Zealand, and we’re proud to be a part of it.

Finally, and most importantly, thank you to Galen and the entire Custom Fencing team. This award belongs to you. Your professionalism, attention to detail, pride in your workmanship and commitment to delivering the highest standard every day are what made this achievement possible.

To be recognised as FCANZ Project of the Year is something we’ll be incredibly proud of for a long time. Thank you to everyone who has supported Custom Fencing along the way—we couldn’t have achieved this without you.

Driveway gates. Always a hard one.
These are a couple of panels from boundaryline.co.nz that we have put into a 50 x 50mm box section frame and had powder coated black.
