🎃👻 Halloween is creeping in at Makers Bench!

A couple of spooky creations fresh off the laser! 👻🎃

From the Happy Halloween pumpkin display to this spooky pumpkin scene with its little lantern, these are designed, laser cut, painted and assembled right here at Makers Bench.

🧡 Handmade in NZ
🖤 Laser cut & painted
🕯️ The little lantern is designed to hold a battery-powered tea light candle, giving it a spooky glow without a real flame.

Perfect for adding a little Halloween atmosphere to your home, office or party setup!

Which one would you choose — 🎃 the Happy Halloween display or 👻 the spooky pumpkin scene?

If you’d like one, send Makers Bench a message — Halloween is getting closer! 🎃

🎄 This one has to be my favourite yet! 😍

This design was chosen from the Makers Bench range for a customer order. It’s one of my own designs, and once I finished making the first one, I loved how it turned out so much that I decided to make a second one for Makers Bench.

And I’m so glad I did! ❤️

I think the combination of Christmas, summer and a very relaxed Santa has come together perfectly. 🎅😎☀️

Definitely one of my favourite designs that I’ve created and made so far!

What do you think?

🎮 From an idea to a Gamer Dad gift!

This project started with a customer's idea — take one of our “Dad” designs and turn it into something special for a Gamer Dad Father's Day gift. 🎮❤️

We worked together through a few design tweaks and mock-ups until the customer was happy with the final concept.

Then it was time to turn that idea into reality — with Father's Day fast approaching, the clock was ticking! ⏱️

From mock-up → laser cutting → painting → assembly → personalised finishing, we got it completed and delivered within the required timeframe. 🎁

This is what we love about Makers Bench — taking your idea and creating something that's uniquely yours.

🏉 The finished piece!

Yesterday I shared this one fresh off the laser, before it had seen a drop of paint. Well… here it is finished! 🎨🔥

I’m really happy with how this one has turned out. There’s quite a bit of detail packed into the design, and the Warriors colours really bring it to life. 💙❤️💚

And there are two options available:
🔹 Warriors design – without a name
🔹 Personalised – add a name to make it your own

Whether it's for a die-hard fan, the kids, the family or just somewhere to show your Warriors pride, this could make a pretty cool addition to the wall. 💙💚

Where would you hang yours? 👀

If you'd like one made with a name, send me a message and we can chat about it.

🛠️ Fresh off the laser! 🔥

This one came off the laser today, and I have to say, I'm pretty happy with how the detail has come out.

There’s still a bit of work to do before this one is finished — paint, assembly and a few finishing touches — but I thought I'd share a look at it in its raw form first.

It’s amazing what a bit of paint can do to a piece like this! 🎨

Raw MDF or finished and painted — which do you prefer?🎨

Where would this find a home in your place? 👀💙💚

I'll share the finished piece in a separate post once it's all painted and put together.

🛍️ What a great Sunday at the Peg & Pint!

Yesterday we had the pleasure of setting up the Makers Bench stall at the Peg & Pint Sunday Craft Market in Pegasus. 🛍️✨

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, had a chat, checked out our creations and supported our little NZ-made business. ❤️

And of course, a big thank you to the organisers of the Peg & Pint market for putting together such a great event and giving local makers and small businesses the opportunity to showcase what we do. It was fantastic to be part of it! 👏

We're still growing and learning as we go, so every visit, purchase, follow, share and friendly conversation genuinely means a lot to us.

Keep an eye out for where we'll be popping up next! 👀
