Meet the team behind Build It All!

We’re a family run building business led by Ray Lister, bringing over 20 years of building experience and a genuine commitment to quality workmanship.

Ray Lister | Owner & Builder

With over 20 years of experience, Ray is passionate about building. Outside of work, he enjoys quad bike adventures, cars, collecting vinyl records and spending time with his family.

Nat | Second Year Apprentice

Nat is working towards completing her building apprenticeship. Outside of work, she enjoys basketball, swimming and spending time with her family.

Brett | Builder & Joiner

A qualified builder and joiner by trade, Brett brings valuable experience to the team. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting and going for rides on his motorbike.

Tee | Foreman

Tee couldn’t make it into the team photo as he’s currently on leave, but he’s an important part of the Build It All team. When he’s not on the tools, he enjoys motocross bikes and fishing.

As a local, family run business, we take pride in the work we do and the people we work with. Whether you’re planning a renovation, an extension or a new build, we’re here to help bring your ideas to life.

Proudly serving Wellington and the surrounding areas.

Thinking about renovating? You’re definitely not the only one 🏡🔨

More Kiwis are looking at putting money back into their homes, with Tony Alexander’s latest Spending Plans Survey showing a net 13% of respondents plan to spend more on home renovations over the next 3–6 months, above the six-year average of 10%.

Whether you’ve been thinking about finally tackling that renovation, opening up your living space, updating tired areas of your home, or making your house work better for your family, Build It All can help bring it to life.

From smaller upgrades through to larger home renovations, Ray and the Build It All team can work with you to turn those “one day we should…” ideas into something real.

If renovating has been sitting on your wish list, now could be the time to start the conversation.

- Home renovations
- Alterations & upgrades
- Decking & outdoor spaces
- General building

Got an idea in mind? Get in touch with Build It All and let’s talk about what’s possible.

This week’s mission 👇

A new deck, stairs, and handrail, built to make this space more usable and give the whole area a proper finished look.

In this one, Ray talks you through what we were working with, what went into the build, and some of the details that make a difference once everything comes together.

Another job completed and another outdoor space ready to be used properly.

If you’ve got a deck, stairs or outdoor project you’ve been thinking about, get in touch with the team.

We want to hear from YOU! 👷‍♂️🔨

We’ve got plenty happening behind the scenes at Build It All, and we want to make sure we’re sharing the stuff you actually want to see.

So… what are you picking?

Drop A, B, C or D in the comments - or tell us what else you’d love to see!

And if the answer is "all of the above”… we can work with that too 😂

A little entrance upgrade making a big difference!

This property now has a fresh new driveway along with custom gates to create better access, added security and a much tidier finish from the street.

Practical improvements like these don’t just make a home look better, they make it work better too.

Another one ticked off by the Build It All team 🔨

Thinking about upgrading your driveway, fencing, gates or outdoor areas? Get in touch and let’s have a chat about what we can do.

Now you see it… now you don’t 👀🔨

A recent chimney removal completed by the Build It All team.

The old chimney and fireplace were completely removed, then the walls were rebuilt, repaired and finished to blend seamlessly back into the existing home.

These before and afters really show the difference, especially when the end result looks like the chimney was never there in the first place!

Whether it’s a chimney removal, renovation, alteration or one of those building jobs you’ve been meaning to get sorted, Build It All can help.

Quality workmanship. Straightforward communication. Built properly.

Meet Sophie - our new Bookkeeper!

We’re excited to introduce Sophie, who has officially joined the Build It All team and will be taking care of all things accounts, bookkeeping and admin behind the scenes! 🧾💻

Sophie is the owner of Sophisticated Accounting and works with businesses across New Zealand, with years of experience looking after the numbers and keeping the admin side of busy trade businesses running smoothly.

Going forward, Sophie will be helping us with everything from supplier invoices and accounts payable through to invoicing, accounts receivable, payroll, bookkeeping, emails and general administration.

So, if you’re a client, supplier or someone we regularly work with, you may start seeing Sophie’s name pop up in your inbox 😊

Having someone dedicated to keeping the paperwork, accounts and admin under control means the rest of the team can spend more time doing what we do best, getting out there and building it all! 🔨

We’re stoked to have Sophie on board! 🙌🏼
