FOR SALE: NZ Native Green Mistletoe - Ileostylus micranthu

This plant is growing very well on a potted coprosma rotundifolia.
This incredibly rare plant growing on a potted plant could be the only one growing in this way. The seed was put on this plant about 2 years ago and is now about 15cms in size. It is growing fast and is very healthy. We know of no others for sale in this form.

Mistletoe grows on other plants getting its food and minerals from its host plant. They then make their own food using sunshine.
They grow on a number of other trees including coprosma, manuka and totara and are found throughout NZ.
The plant will grow up to 1 metre in diameter. Flowers are greenish yellow and bloom in mid spring to early summer.
Bright yellow berries appear late summer through autumn. See photos above of well formed plant and yellow berries.
They are able to grow in most home garden conditions. However possums love these plants so keeping it safe from them is very important.
