Sometimes repairing a timber window means repairing what's there. Sometimes one component has reached the end of its life and replacement makes more sense.
On this awning window, the sash was too badly deteriorated for an economical repair, but the surrounding frame was still sound.
We supplied and installed a new yellow cedar sash, glazed it, hung it on new friction stays and fitted new hardware, while retaining the original.
A good example of why timber window repairs don't have to be all or nothing.
