Grow sweeter summers with Sugar Baby watermelons! 🍉
- Plant in warm weather. Allow around three warm months to grow and ripen.
- Choose full sun and well-drained soil.
- Enrich your soil with compost and organic matter.
- Water regularly, especially while plants establish.
- Give them room. Plant in mounds about 2 metres apart.
- Welcome pollinators. Grow borage, cosmos, dill or marigolds nearby.
- Check before picking. A hollow sound when tapped can help indicate ripeness, but don’t rely on sound alone.

Orange, red and green capsicums are here!
🌱Give them a warm, sunny, sheltered spot with well-drained soil, or grow them in pots. Wait until frosts have passed before planting outdoors.
🌱 Mix in compost and add a general garden fertiliser as directed.
🌱 Keep watered, especially in pots.
🌱Growing companions: tomatoes, eggplants, carrots and onions. Leave enough space for each plant to enjoy plenty of sunlight and airflow.
