🌳 5 YEARS OF KYLE! 🍻

Hard to believe it’s been 5 years since Kyle Walker joined the Wilson Trees crew!

What started as another pair of hands on the tools has turned into a bloody good team member who we can rely on, day in and day out. 💪🌲

Over the years Kyle has tackled plenty of trees, plenty of early starts, all sorts of weather and more than his fair share of sawdust! 😂

One thing about this boy — he’s ridiculously positive, no matter what job we throw at him, what the weather is doing or what sort of situation we find ourselves in. Always up for a laugh, always keen to get stuck in and somehow always finds time for a pat of the client’s dog, horse, cat… or pretty much any animal that happens to be around! 🐕🐎🐈😂

And when the work is done? He’s always up for a b**r! 🍻

Kyle has grown massively over the last five years and has now stepped up into the role of Team Leader, which is a well-earned move.

A major branch suddenly failed in completely still conditions. After seeing the remainder of the tree we rushed into action due to Tropical Cyclone Vaianu’s approaching the area. In this case, the tree was located on a shared driveway, which could have blocked access for multiple properties and created a serious safety hazard.

🌧️ With a major storm on the way, situations like this become even more dangerous. High winds and saturated ground can quickly turn a weakened tree into an emergency.

No two tree jobs are the same 🌳

In the Waikato, we prune a lot of trees over stock yards on farms. While it’s awesome on a hot summer day for the animals and workers, those trees often need maintenance—or sometimes removal.

This one could’ve been climbed and taken down piece by piece—but tight access and cleanup would’ve meant big labour hours and bigger costs.

Instead, we brought in the crane 💪
✔️ Safer site (no falling debris)
✔️ Faster cleanup
✔️ More cost-effective

Sometimes the best solution is thinking outside the box—and above the tree.

Great result all round.
