We’re changing name and colours!

Today we have put up our new signs and changed our uniforms. Hautapu Rural Supplies is now trading as Hautapu BuildLink.

Hautapu Rural Supplies has been a member of a buying group called BuildLink for over 15 years. BuildLink operates in the same way as ITM – it is a collective of independent businesses with a central office that negotiates deals with suppliers. Being a member of BuildLink enables Hautapu Rural Supplies to get better pricing and supply options than what it could have achieved by itself.

BuildLink is now requiring all its member stores to align with their brand. This means that we have to include BuildLink in our trading name and use BuildLink colours.

While the look of the company will change, everything else remains the same. Our great team remains the same, the legal entity remains as Hautapu Rural Supplies Ltd and the ownership structure of the company is unchanged – we are literally just changing our trading name and colour scheme. (Note also that our bank account remains the same.)

Although we’re sad to see our logo disappear, being a member of BuildLink enables us to better deliver great products, prices and services to the community.
