To give you extra time to get sorted before the long weekend, we are extending our hours for Saturday 24th October:

Saturday 24th October: 9:00 am – 4:30 pm (Open longer!)
Sunday 25th October: CLOSED
Monday 26th October (Labour Day): CLOSED

Every other weekend open from 9am to 1pm

What an incredible day at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens for the 2026 Young Landscaper of the Year national finals!

Huge congratulations to all the finalists for giving it their absolute all out there! And shout out to Connor Sullivan, the overall winner!!!

One of the key challenges of the day was plant identification, judged by our manager Geoff.

Big congratulations to Hamish Murray who has won our plant identification draw!

What’s happening:

Live Action: See precision machinery, decking, paving, and expert plant ID happen all at once.

The Big Speeches: At 1:00 PM, finalists take the mic to share their inspirations.

Family Fun: Trade stalls, games, and prizes.

Free Entry: Rain or shine!

Test your own skills at our plant ID station and go in the draw to win a $100 voucher to our nursery.
