This character home in Titirangi has been a great example of just how much can be recovered through deconstruction, with so many of the original materials being saved for reuse.

One of the standouts of this project has been the amount of beautiful New Zealand native timber salvaged from the home, including rimu, kauri and mataī.

With the deconstruction stage now complete, we’re proud of the team and all the mahi they’ve put into this project. A lot of time and care has gone into recovering as much of the original home as possible, and it’s been amazing to see the results come together.

Wrapping up our project in Pinehill -

Zero waste to landfill mindset, start to finish.

Site's clean and we did it without cutting corners on safety and sustainability as always.

Our latest deconstruction project in Pinehill -

Instead of straight demolition, we are carefully taking this house apart.

Most contractors won't bother salvaging concrete tile roofs but our team has carefully salvaged 10 tonnes of tile from this project alone.

Proud of our team for doing this the right way.

Look mum we're on 1News!
If you missed it, last night Alex spoke about the mahi we have been doing with Auckland Council on the flood recovery programme. The past 2 years have been a challenge trying to figure out what to do with such large quantities of pine. We decided the best outcome was to process it and sell it at COST. come down and grab some timber for as little as $1 per l/m.

Demolition may be faster. But speed alone shouldn’t define how we approach the end of a building’s life.

Deconstruction takes a different path, one that prioritises material recovery, waste reduction, and long-term value. Instead of sending usable resources straight to landfill, materials like timber, fixtures, windows, roofing, flooring, and hardware can be carefully salvaged and given a second life.

As the construction industry moves toward a more circular future, the way we take buildings down matters just as much as the way we build them.

Deconstruction isn’t just about taking buildings apart. It’s about recovering value, reducing impact, and rethinking what “end of life” really means.
