A Waiting Game of Colors and Blooms

Our blooming-size Cymbidium Collection is entering one of the most exciting stages of orchid growing - the anticipation of seeing their flowers unfold. Many of these plants are survivors from a past flood that scattered and displaced our collection. After being carefully rescued, repotted, and nurtured back to health, their identities have become a mystery. Until they bloom, we can only wonder what colors, and varieties they truly are.

What makes Cymbidium special is that many varieties thrive remarkably well in Abra. The province's cooler nights during the dry season, bright conditions, and relatively low-maintenance growing requirements make Cymbidiums one of the easiest orchids to cultivate successfully. Once established, they are hardy, rewarding, and capable of producing spectacular flower spikes that can last for weeks.
