Sharing vibes and space of my recent workation, I noticed that the Calatagan vibe was all about decompression. Traditionally this whole area was set as modern vacation homes for the wealthier Manila families but has settled into a faded, weathered look. However, this whole neighborhood is poised to have a rediscovery era soon, there’s plenty of construction activity around the houses, renovations and the like—- including plans for curated, idyllic experiences that are turning the way we see vacations. Architecture has a lot of nooks and crannies for built and unbuilt information, and one of them is understanding the Philippine market for real estate properties. These were part 2 of unit views of curated units available from Acqua to Salcedo buildings (after careful vetting and matching of a client’s preferences) then helping out untangle the terms of standard rent/sale practices expected for long term stay, with full bilingual expertise to help smoothen the way. It took about a week to coordinate and finish, after the initial client’s pains of trying to DIY for a month without result— he chose from this selection.
