β οΈ PUBLIC ADVISORY β οΈ
We would like to inform our clients, suppliers, partners, and the general public that JDM recently became a victim of a fraudulent transaction involving an individual who falsely represented himself as both a supplier and a representative of our company.
The individual claimed to own a sand and gravel business and offered construction materials at a lower price. At the same time, he also contacted the legitimate supplier while pretending to be affiliated with JDM. Through these misrepresentations, both our company and the supplier were deceived.
As a result, materials were delivered, payments were redirected through unauthorized channels, and both parties suffered financial losses. The scheme was only discovered when the actual supplier followed up regarding payment.
While we acknowledge that additional identity and business verification could have prevented this incident, we are sharing our experience to raise awareness within the construction industry and among fellow business owners. We hope others can learn from this unfortunate situation and avoid becoming victims of similar schemes.
π¨ IMPORTANT REMINDER π¨
Please DO NOT transact with anyone claiming to represent JDM or its owners unless the communication has been made directly through our official channels and verified by us personally.
For any transaction, quotation, purchase order, material request, or payment instruction involving JDM, we strongly encourage suppliers and partners to verify the identity of the requesting party before proceeding.
Let this serve as a reminder that fraudsters are becoming increasingly sophisticated and may impersonate legitimate businesses to gain trust.
We appreciate your vigilance and continued support.
