Some recipes are made for celebrations… and some are made to remember someone. ❤️

These Shahi Tukda Rolls are dedicated to my Daddy, mere chacha, whom we recently lost.

His sudden passing made me realise how easily we take our loved ones for granted, thinking there’s always another day to meet, talk or spend time together.

So today, I’m cherishing a few meethi yaadein through something sweet.

A little reminder to hold your loved ones close. Don’t wait for tomorrow to make time for them. ❤️

Festive meals don’t always need fancy dishes! ✨

Sometimes, a simple khatti-meethi kaddu ki sabzi with garma-garam masala puri is all you need! ❤️

Inspired by Lucknow’s famous bhandare wali sabzi, this no-onion, no-garlic recipe is packed with warm spices, gud, amchur and my little twist — sweet-and-sour mangoes frozen during the season. 🥭

Paired with crispy masala puris made with freshly roasted spices… a proper desi festive treat!

Some recipes have different names in every home. ❤️

For us, this is KABULI — a simple, comforting Chana Dal Pulao that never needs anything fancy!

It’s a familiar part of North Indian cuisine, with different versions found across Pakistani and other South Asian kitchens too.

Soft but intact chana dal, khila-khila rice and a quick homemade tamatar ki chutney on the side. 😋

And a little lesson from this recipe shoot — always click your final dish BEFORE serving everyone! 😂

Because sometimes the food disappears before the camera gets its turn!

Some chai plans clearly don’t understand distance. 😂☕
