Today I’ll show you how to make a mini aquarium. You only need three things: a container, water, and a small baby marimo 🦠

Marimo is Aegagropila linnaei, a type of filamentous green algae that naturally grows on the bottom of lakes and can form these round balls. It grows extremely slowly — around 5 mm per year.

It’s also very easy to care for at home: simply change the water about once a week and occasionally rinse the marimo in cool clean water, gently squeezing and rolling it in your hands to help keep its round shape.

Сегодня покажу, как сделать мини-аквариум. Для этого понадобится всего три компонента: резервуар, вода и маленький baby marimo 🦠

Маримо — это Aegagropila linnaei, нитчатая зелёная водоросль, которая в природе встречается на дне озёр и способна формировать вот такие круглые шарики. Растёт она очень медленно — примерно на 5 мм в год.

В домашних условиях ухаживать за маримо довольно просто: примерно раз в неделю достаточно менять воду, а сам шарик периодически промывать в прохладной чистой воде, аккуратно отжимая и слегка прокатывая в руках, чтобы он сохранял круглую форму.
