Welcome to the restaurant that doesn’t exist. Yet! ✨

Meet Gene, our incredibly talented 3D artist! With an amazing eye for light, materials and atmosphere, he turns sketches and ideas into images so realistic you’d swear they were photographs.

Our clients love it! They can explore their future hotel, fine-tune the details and even start showing it off before the doors open.

And us? We’re blown away by Gene’s magic every single time! 🙌

And what better way to feed that curiosity than a few days in Switzerland with some seriously inspiring creatives and innovators?

Our designer and partner Fredrik Wendt was invited by Geberit for a behind-the-scenes look at everything from clever bathroom solutions to the technology that makes it all work.

Lots of design talk, fresh perspectives, great company and new ideas to bring back to W8!

A big thank you to Geberit for the invitation and a fantastic few days! 🇨🇭

An accountant who doesn’t quite stick to the numbers! 😉

Meet Katja! She’s got W8’s finances under control, but her passion for interior design takes her well beyond spreadsheets.
From budgets to fabrics, furniture and project coordination – Katja loves it all!

One of her projects? Helping Nina transform part of Scandic Laholmen in Strömstad into an exclusive pop-up restaurant for gourmet dining.

“I’m learning something new all the time. And as long as I’m having fun along the way, I’m happy!”

That’s the spirit we love at W8. Sharing ideas, supporting each other and making room for everyone’s talents.
Lucky us to have Katja on the team! ❤️

Who says a bank has to feel stiff and formal?

We’ve been bringing hotel lounge vibes to Sparbanken branches for years now. Cozy seating, soft shapes, inviting café areas and a warm atmosphere that makes people feel right at home. Seven or eight branches later, we’re still loving it! Every space has its own personality, every project brings new creative challenges, and the teamwork makes it even more fun.

Same welcoming concept. A unique twist every time!

Stunning hotel. But is it good business? 👀

Ever walked into a hotel that looked like a million dollars… but somehow felt like absolutely nothing?
Beautiful furniture. Perfect lighting. All the right trends. But where’s the personality?

At W8, we believe the most memorable hotels have something you can’t simply buy from a design catalogue: a story worth telling.
A sense of place. A unique identity. A reason to come back.

Because looking amazing is one thing. Being unforgettable is another.

🔥 Your turn! What’s the most unforgettable hotel you’ve ever stayed at? Name it – and tell us WHY!

What does the office have that the home office doesn’t?

People. Energy. Spontaneous ideas. Great conversations. Coffee breaks that turn into something more. And all those little moments that simply don’t happen on Teams.

For TST Sweden in Borås, we created a workplace for working, meeting, creating, exercising, relaxing – and simply enjoying the day together.

Because a great office should be more than a place you have to go to.
It should be a place you actually want to go to.

What keeps a major hotel renovation on track?

Lots of moving parts, plenty of decisions – and always a few surprises along the way. The key? Stay close, talk often and make decisions together.
That way, our clients stay informed, involved and in control – while we keep the project moving forward.

What happens after opening?

That’s when a place really starts to live. Guests arrive, rooms are used, restaurants fill up – and suddenly you see what works, what needs a little attention and what could be developed next.

For us, finishing a project doesn’t necessarily mean saying goodbye. We like to stay close, follow how the spaces evolve and be there for the next step.

Because great places are made to be used. And used. And used again. 😊

For me, plant design is about bringing people closer to nature. 🌿

At Strand Öland, I’ve used plants to shape the terrace, create privacy and make greenery part of the guest experience. I want the planting to feel as though it grew there naturally – even though every choice has been carefully considered.

Come along into my green world! Want to see more of my work? Leave a 💚 in the comments.

What does it take to make a destination worth the journey?

At Strand Öland, the ambition went far beyond renovating a hotel. We wanted to build on the sea, the light, the location and the history – and create more reasons to come, stay and return. All year round.

Because when design helps a destination attract more guests, more often, it becomes an investment in the business.
