Compassvale Street Executive Apartment – Living Room & Balcony Transformation
This Executive Apartment at Compassvale Street showcases a warm contemporary design that blends minimalist aesthetics with practical family living. The overall palette revolves around soft ivory tones, natural wood textures, and concealed ambient lighting, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere that feels spacious yet cosy.
Living Room
The living room is designed with clean architectural lines and a clutter-free approach. A custom-built floating TV console with integrated warm LED lighting creates a light and airy appearance while providing practical storage. The wood-grain countertop introduces warmth and balances the crisp white cabinetry.
A full-height display cabinet above the TV wall allows homeowners to showcase collectibles and décor pieces without overwhelming the space. The concealed lighting highlights these display elements while adding depth to the feature wall.
One of the standout design features is the curved detailing throughout the carpentry. Rounded edges soften the overall look, improve circulation flow, and create a more luxurious feel compared to conventional sharp-cornered cabinetry.
The feature arch niche acts as both a design statement and functional seating/storage area. Combined with full-height storage cabinets, it maximises every inch of available space while maintaining a seamless appearance.
Balcony Area
Instead of leaving the balcony as an underutilised space, it has been transformed into a functional lifestyle corner. Full-height sliding glass panels allow natural light to pe*****te deep into the living room while maintaining air-conditioning efficiency when required.
A custom window counter with bar seating creates a cosy café-style experience, perfect for:
Morning coffee sessions
Work-from-home activities
Reading and relaxation
Casual conversations with family members
The unobstructed window view and natural daylight enhance the sense of openness, making the balcony an extension of the living area rather than a separate zone.
