What does your first headquarters say about the business you’re becoming? 🌱

For Custera, this was an opportunity to create more than a place to work. As a young engineering company building its presence in the urban transport industry, the new headquarters needed to welcome clients, support technical conversations and give its growing team a space that felt distinctly their own.

That thinking shaped everything from the Innovation Hub and its 7.2-metre media wall to the generous client-facing spaces, collaborative work settings and bespoke details inspired by Custera’s identity.

But perhaps what we love most is how naturally the space brings people together. Clients, partners and colleagues can move from a formal discussion to a conversation over coffee, while the team has an environment designed around how they actually work.

As Custera’s first headquarters, it feels especially meaningful to have helped create the foundations for what comes next.

Growth doesn't always mean starting from scratch. 🌿

Sometimes, it's about finding new possibilities within what already exists.

For Hyphens Pharma, bringing its people together meant reimagining an existing workplace across two floors, all while keeping its manufacturing and pharmacy operations running.

Inspired by the organic structures of Gardens by the Bay, the design takes its cues from nature, where growth happens through connection, adaptation and continuity. Sculptural forms, warm materials and thoughtful detailing create a shared identity across both floors, without physically connecting them.

What we find particularly meaningful about this project is that the transformation wasn't about changing everything. It was about understanding what needed to stay, what could evolve and how the workplace could better support the people and business growing within it.

At Manulife Financial Advisers Pte Ltd, the 54,072 sqft headquarters at Keppel South Central was designed around this movement, creating a workplace that shifts naturally between different people, purposes and rhythms throughout the day.

Designed and built by Conexus Studio, the project brings together hospitality, flexibility and performance in an environment where each space has its own purpose, yet remains connected to the whole.

Recognised with the Singapore Good Design (SG Mark) 2026 by Design Business Chamber Singapore in the Spatial Design category ✨, the workplace reflects a considered approach to how design can support both experience and performance.

Good design, tripled. 🏆

We came to celebrate one SG Mark win each for Murex, Manulife Financial Advisers and ComfortDelGro. We left with three plaques, a full camera roll and plenty to talk about on the way home.

The awards recognise three very different workplaces, shaped by many questions, decisions and people who cared enough to keep refining the answer.

And while the plaques have earned their place, the real story continues elsewhere. It unfolds every morning, when people walk into these spaces, find somewhere to focus or talk and get on with their day.

Our Managing Director, Brendan Khor, joined Mapletree's Chairman Edmund Cheng, Group CEO Hiew Yoon Khong, and fellow tenant leaders on stage at An Evening with Mapletree: Mid-Autumn Festival 2026, held at Mapletree Business City 🥮.

Now in its fourth year, the event brought together over 600 employees, tenants and members of the Alexandra Precinct community, alongside a calligraphy display and artwork contest, a reminder of what thoughtful workplace design brings to a precinct like this.

Congratulations to Mapletree on another year of bringing the precinct together, and thank you for having us on stage.

The Murex APAC Headquarters, Manulife Financial Advisers Pte Ltd office, and ComfortDelGro Headquarters are now featured at the SG Mark 2026 Winners Exhibition at Funan.

Recognised with the Singapore Good Design Mark 2026 by Design Business Chamber Singapore, the three projects reflect different workplace priorities, from supporting connection, wellbeing, and adaptability to enabling focus, interaction, and growth.

The exhibition brings together winning designs from across nine categories, offering the public an opportunity to experience how good design can enhance everyday life.

A brief tells you what a client thinks they need. It rarely tells you why.

"250 employees, evolving ways of working" reads like a fact. To Wendy Tan, it's a prompt: evolving how, and for who? The real project usually isn't in the document, it's in the gap between what's written and what's actually driving the decision.

As our Associate Director of Business Development, Wendy's learned to sit in that gap. Not to challenge her clients, but to make sure everyone's solving the same problem before a single design decision gets made.

Some workplaces are designed for how they look. Others are designed for how they work.

For Murex APAC Headquarters, the workplace needed to do both. As a global fintech organisation, Murex required an environment capable of supporting deep concentration, complex problem-solving, and seamless collaboration across teams and regions.

The design response brought these needs together — creating a space built for connection, innovation, and growth 💡, where focused work and collaboration coexist.
