✨ Fragments. Collage. Memory. ✨
For Ar. Look Boon Gee, recipient of the President’s Design Award Singapore 2009 – Designer of the Year, architecture is more than creating buildings. It is about connecting people, places, nature and memories.
Through LOOK Architects, his works bring together the old and new — transforming libraries into treehouses, schools into villages, historic places into contemporary spaces, and urban landscapes into meaningful public experiences.
From St George’s Tower and Punggol Waterfront to Fuzhou’s forest walkway and Gemmill Lane, each project tells a story of its place.
Continuing this philosophy, Berlayar Residences and Berlayar Rise celebrate the natural landscape, biodiversity and heritage of Singapore’s Greater Southern Waterfront.
His architecture reminds us that progress does not mean forgetting the past. Instead, the future is shaped by the memories we carry forward.
Memory is not frozen in time. It is reimagined, reassembled and woven into the future.
