Purple Coneflower, Echinacea purepurea, What in world is going on ? All the blooms on this one plant is doing this, but not all the plants. Hummmmm! I have actually seen this at several different locations. It's almost like bloom is sprouting new plants and blooming again. I'm going to dissect one and look at it closer ! Love doing this sort of thing. Could it be Aster yellows disease.a phytoplasma spread by leafhoppers. They only way to get rid of it is to pull the plant and throw it away.
