We opened up this wall to make a cased opening for easier passage thru the house which really made the family room more accessible. We also installed about 120’ of crown molding in the family room as well to match the sitting room.

Just wrapped up this laundry room today. We removed the cabinets, laundry sink, baseboards, and old flooring. Then we had to mechanically remove the old adhesive to expose good concrete before we could lay the new tile. Finally we installed new baseboards and shoe moulding We also capped the water and drain lines and closed up the wall since the laundry sink was not going back in.

Ever wonder what’s under that 1940s tile?
Well, it’s probably about 6” of solid concrete.

We demoed the old floor, sistered in new joists, installed a new subfloor followed by Durock cement board and then finally some fresh tile.
