Started today with a morning run with my neighbor at 5am. When she made it to our driveway she realized there was a pack of hogs just across the road. When our LGDs heard the hogs stirring they came to her rescue though and scared them off. Lacie would have come over the fence after them if it wasn’t for the hot wire.

So my husband says I’m a social butterfly and I guess he’s right.

Monday I went to AT&T to get a new phone because my old iPhone 13 was finally dying. There was only 1 employee in the store, poor guy was so busy. But, I will say Jacob was one of the more respectful and kind employees I’ve ever dealt with in the technology world.

So, while I was waiting for my turn I sparked up conversations with some of the other lovely ladies that were in the same boat I was.

The lady I was talking to was asking me how long I thought it would take to just order her new phone because she knew it wasn’t in stock. Told her I wasn’t sure but I know the newest they have for immediate usage is the 17 and I think I got the last one that’s in store today. But I needed something now because I didn’t think that old brick had 2 weeks left to live and I own a business so I can’t go without.

She asked me what I do.

Told her I run a homestead and sourdough cottage bakery. She got so excited and started asking me about my products and such.

Turns out she is a huge fan of our Tomato Basil loaf and was so sad we took it off the menu for the summer. She even tried that flavor combo from 2 other sourdough bakers and said “neither even compared to yours”. I was thrilled to hear that!!

So I told her it’s back on the menu for winter but also gave her my phone number so that she could make direct orders once it leaves the menu again in spring.

Then, I got this text from her last night. ☺️

Yal, I love making REAL food for REAL people and hearing how much enjoyment a single loaf of bread can bring.

It has been an absolute whirlwind of a week. Lost supply orders, family things, and oh so much more but we are ready for the weekend events!

HIRING EVENT STAFF

What you need to know:
- Requires an SUV or larger vehicle to transport inventory and event supplies
- Valid drivers license
- Must be 18 or older
- Be able to lift 40 pounds
- Weekend flexibility

Compensation:
-Base pay of $50
AND
- 10% commission
AND
- Travel pay per mile

On average events run 4-8 hours, each employee usually goes home with minimum of $110 per event but it is usually more around $150 to $160 per event.

After attending my own event this morning, driving a total of 210 miles, restocking another employee at her event, baking another set of loaves this evening, I am relaxing with a burn pile, a drink, my husband and dogs, with dinner started.

I live a blessed life and I appreciate everyone that makes that possible ❤️

And yes the neighbor also has a burn pile going 😆
