I rarely tell you about my favorite candle. But……this girlie girl has captured my heart. The deep amber brown color, the texture of the pumpkin and of course, the smell. This scent is exclusive to this pumpkin vessel only. Patchouli Pepita is definitely my kind of fragrance with notes of Pumpkin Vine, Ginger, Cinnamon, Peppercorn, Cardamom, Clove, Nutmeg, Vanilla, Pumpkin, Sugar, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Praline. Oh, did I mention Patchouli?!? I technically have 6 left but I’m thinking one is going to stay home with me! You need this in your life! Trust me. 🎃

I taught a candle making workshop at my daughter, Candice’s workplace a couple of weeks ago. The folks at Special Olympics Orange County were such a fun group! They blended fragrances and poured some awesome candles!

We attended one of our favorite markets this past Saturday, Jennifer Kim, and what a day it was! ☀️

With the 100° plus heat we’ve been experiencing here in Southern California, we were a bit concerned about how the day would be because of the heat. But we were determined to make the best of it and we did! We had the kindest customers, we enjoyed our booth neighbors, played great music and had a great chat with the market organizer.

Our candles, on the other hand, were doing their very best to survive. Even protected in the shade, the heat eventually started getting the best of them. Thankfully, we made it through the market, saved our candles, and we survived a scorcher!

All of this to say that being a small business owner is never easy. There are long days, unexpected challenges, and plenty of moments when you wonder how you’re going to pull it all off. But, honestly it’s worth every moment.

Thank you for continuing to support our little candle business, for shopping handmade, for stopping by our booth, shopping online, and always showing us love. 💜

Our grands danced their hearts away this past Saturday! It was Jameson’s debut on the stage and he was so stinking cute! Penny, danced like the dancing queen that she’s become. We loved watching them both! 💜😍

Lavender Apothecary began almost ten and a half years ago and I always joke that I feel sorry for the folks who bought candles from me that first year. Back then, I was still learning and hadn’t fully refined my craft yet. But then came the creativity, the researching, the attention to every detail, the passion for making something truly special.

Now, I unapologetically call myself an artisan. I’m proud of how far this little business has come and confident in every handmade product we create. From the fragrances to the quality and care poured into each piece, I know you’ll agree…they’re the very best. 💜
