🕒 Work Schedule
Monday–Friday: 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8 AM and 6 PM.
📅 Weekends required only when scheduled for on-call duty.

Position Summary
Assist customers with their lock, key, and security needs while learning the locksmith and security trade. Work in the shop and at customer locations under the guidance of experienced security specialists. On-call and occasional travel outside of Anchorage may be required.
Basic Responsibilities
* Cut and duplicate keys; learn to rekey, install, service, and repair locks.
* Assist with residential, commercial, and automotive locksmith services.
* Help install and service door hardware, safes, access control, cameras, and other security equipment as training progresses.
* Greet customers, answer questions, and communicate service needs clearly.
* Complete work orders and accurately record materials used and work performed.
* Keep tools, workspaces, inventory, and company vehicles clean and organized.
* Follow safety procedures, protect customer information, and verify authorization before providing access or making keys.
* Perform only work within assigned training and authorization; ask for assistance when needed.
Basic Qualifications
* Dependable, honest, punctual, and willing to learn.
* Mechanical aptitude and comfort using basic hand and power tools.
* Good customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently as skills develop.
* Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for driving duties.
* Ability to pass a background check.
* Previous locksmith experience is helpful but not required; related mechanical, electrical, construction, or automotive experience is welcome.
Work Environment
Work may include standing, bending, kneeling, using tools, moving equipment, and traveling to customer locations in varying Alaska weather conditions.
