Running out of room for more fruit trees? You can always grow a fig in a container.
Figs do really well in containers. They handle pruning nicely, so you can keep them at a manageable size and still get plenty of fruit. Plus, you have more control over the soil and where the tree grows.
Figs are naturally suited to long, dry summers. All that heat gives the fruit time to develop and ripen, while our low humidity helps keep the fruit from splitting and spoiling.
I'm excited to see if there's still enough time left for this 3rd crop of figs to ripen this fall.
And fresh figs right off your patio? Pretty hard to beat.
We have a wide variety to choose from in potted liners and 5 gallon containers.
