A small bathroom is the one room where a bold floor pays off.

Patterned black and white tile gives this compact bath its character, next to a gray shaker vanity, a lit mirror and a storage cabinet above the toilet. Small footprint, a lot of personality.

From dark cherry and busy granite to warm wood and soft light.

The old vanity paired dark cherry cabinets with a speckled granite top and one long wall mirror. The new one brings honey-toned shaker cabinets with a center drawer bank, a tall linen cabinet, a white veined countertop with undermount sinks and a backlit mirror over each sink. Swipe to see the change.

A shower you can sit down in changes the whole morning.

A built-in bench, a lit niche for everything you reach for and frameless glass that keeps the room open. Designed around how the space gets used every day, not just how it looks on reveal day.

A slow walk through a finished primary bath.

Double vanity, a tall linen cabinet and, at the end, the shower: a built-in bench, a lit niche and frameless glass. Every piece planned together, from the first design consultation to the final walkthrough.

Same corner, new routine: the tub came out and a walk-in shower went in.

Before: a drop-in tub on a tiled deck. After: marble-look tile wall to wall, frameless glass, a built-in bench, a recessed niche and corner shelf, a hand shower on a slide bar and grab bars right where your hands go, all over a mosaic floor. Swipe to see both sides.

Thinking about a tub-to-shower conversion? Call (703) 300-4703.

The remodel that gets used the most is often the one outside.

A covered section for shade and rain, an open deck for the sun, wide stairs down to the yard, and composite boards that will not need sanding every spring. Built to the same standard as the kitchens and baths we do inside, because the framing under a deck is the part you never see and the part that matters most.

Fall is the best build season we get. Call (703) 300-4703 or visit www.kbmasters.com to get on the schedule before the weather turns.

Look up. That ceiling is why this bathroom works.

It slopes, so the vanity and its storage sit under the low side where the height was never going to be useful. The tub takes the full height wall under the window, with the same porcelain running all the way up. Nothing was fought. The room was planned around what the roof was already doing.

The tub is not the centerpiece here. The daylight is.

Marble-look porcelain runs up the walls instead of stopping at a tile band, so the room reads taller. The maple vanity carries a linen tower at the end for towels and everything else that usually ends up on the counter. Matte black fixtures keep the wood warm without going rustic. And the freestanding soak sits under the window, which is the one spot in the room worth sitting still in.

Freestanding tub or a bigger shower? We ask every client this and the answers split almost evenly.

The room nobody plans, and then uses ten times a day.

Before: orange walls, glass-front uppers holding nothing in particular, and pendants fighting the daylight. Now the wall carries a clean run of greige base cabinets with a quartz top, two maple floating shelves for the things you want in reach, and a counter-depth fridge that sits flush instead of jutting into the walkway.
