🔥 The cold weather is soon to arrive, it probably won't be long before you turn your heat on.

Before the furnace settles in for another Illinois heating season, it's a good time to check the filter and see whether it's ready for another round.

A dirty filter can restrict airflow and make your heating system work harder than it needs to, and after months of sitting through open-window season, it's an easy thing to forget about.

Take a look before the cold really settles in, and if it's time for a replacement, we've got furnace filters in a variety of sizes at Oye’s Hardware. 🛠️

🔥🏠 OCTOBER IS FIRE SAFETY MONTH! 🏠🔥

A little preparation today can make a BIG difference tomorrow! ❤️

October is the perfect time to check your smoke detectors, test your carbon monoxide alarms, and make sure your family has a fire escape plan.

✅ Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms
✅ Replace batteries as needed

✅ Create and practice a family fire escape plan
✅ Make sure everyone knows where to meet outside in an emergency

🧯 Don’t wait until it’s too late to make safety a priority!

At Oye’s Hardware, we’re proud to help our neighbors keep their homes and families safe. Stop in and see how we can help you prepare!
