Guests used to wait for hot water on the top floors. A month later, they said it was too hot.

At the Crowne Plaza Tampa East, scale buildup kept hot water from reaching the upper floors. Staff ran water all night in empty rooms just to keep it moving, and the boilers were set to 130°F to get 100°F at the tap.

The hotel installed ScaleBlaster units on the main line, around the boilers, mid-building, in the laundry and on the kitchen steamers. Within 3 to 4 weeks, guests were saying the water was too hot. The boilers went down to 100°F and the overnight flushing stopped.

The result: tens of thousands saved in energy and water, and a re-pipe costing hundreds of thousands avoided. It's been running since 2011.

A salt softener removes the hardness minerals from your water. ScaleBlaster doesn't. It leaves the calcium and magnesium in the water and keeps them from sticking to your pipes, water heater and fixtures.

What that means for you:
- No salt bags to haul

Five years. That's the factory warranty QuantumFlo puts behind its booster systems.

QuantumFlo calls it the industry's first 5-year factory warranty for booster systems. It covers defects in materials and workmanship on the Prodigy, Genius and WisperFlo lines.
