🤣🔥 IT'S ROAST SEAN DAY! 🔥🤣

Today we're wishing a Happy Birthday to Sean, our resident estimator, former police officer, backup lunch guy, and professional tolerator of the chaos at Lakeside Lumber! 🎂

Sean spent years in law enforcement, dealing with criminals, chaos, and questionable decisions… so naturally, he decided the next logical career move was working at Lakeside Lumber. Honestly, we're not sure which job requires more patience. 🤣

He traded in his badge for blueprints, his patrol car for an office chair, and somehow went from keeping people in line to working with a bunch of people who probably SHOULD be kept in line. 🚔🤣

He's pretty good at estimating projects, solving problems, and occasionally stepping in to make sure we don't starve. Although, we're still not sure if his police training prepared him for the daily nonsense around here!

Last year we celebrated the big 4-0, so this year he's officially 41. Old enough to know better, but apparently still willing to show up here every day. 🤣

All jokes aside, we're lucky to have Sean on our team. He keeps the estimates rolling, puts up with the rest of us, and brings plenty to this dysfunctional work family!

Happy Birthday, Sean! 🎉 Here's hoping your birthday includes minimal chaos, no emergency estimates, and absolutely nobody saying, "Hey Sean, can you look at this real quick?" 🤣

❤️ A little appreciation post for the people who keep this place going!

To say we've been busy lately would be an understatement. We've been short-staffed, busier than ever, and some days it has felt like we're just trying to keep our heads above water. But thanks to an incredible group of employees, lately it feels like we're finally treading water again! 🤣

We want to take a minute to thank every single person on our team.

Thank you for the extra hours, extra headaches, extra stress, and the million extra hats you've all been wearing. Thank you for stepping into jobs that aren't normally yours, being flexible when plans change (sometimes by the minute 🤣), picking up the slack, and doing whatever it takes to keep this place running. And somehow, in the middle of it all, helping keep materials rolling for our own addition, too!

We know it hasn't been easy. We see it. We appreciate it. And we don't take any of it for granted.

Last week, we tucked a little extra bonus into everyone's paycheck as a small way of saying THANK YOU. ❤️ We know a little extra money doesn't make the long days or added stress disappear, but we hope it helps. We believe that when we can give a little extra back to the people who give so much to our business, we absolutely should.

Being this busy is a blessing, and one we are incredibly thankful for. But none of it would be possible without the people who show up every day and make it happen.

We might be a slightly dysfunctional work family 🤣, but we have one heck of a team. We're proud of how much this business has grown, but even prouder of the people who have helped us get here.

To our entire crew, THANK YOU for hanging in there, putting up with the chaos (and us 🤣), and continuing to give your best. We appreciate you more than you know! ❤️🪵

Can we go back to the gorgeous weekend we just had?!

October sure has been treating us well! We're taking full advantage of this beautiful fall weather, even sending loads out on Saturdays to keep up with the building rush!

When Mother Nature gives us weather like this in October, we'll take every extra day we can get!

We hope you all had a chance to get outside, soak up some sunshine, and enjoy those amazing temperatures! 🍁☀️
