Dont miss featured artist Bill McDonald at the Etowah Arts Commission gallery for a special summer exhibit running May 28 through July 27.
Bill McDonald, a native of Athens, Tennessee, is recognized for paintings that reflect the landscape and history of East Tennessee. His work focuses on rural settings, local landmarks, and scenes that preserve a sense of place familiar to many throughout Southern Appalachia.
He released his first print collection in 2009 and now offers more than 150 prints. Bill formerly owned and operated a gallery in downtown Athens before closing in 2018. Today, his work can be found through Fullers Frame Shop and Gallery in Athens, and at regional events including the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair and the Etowah Fall Festival.
Bill currently lives and works in Benton, Tennessee, where he paints from his home studio.
Please join us for an artist reception on May 30 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Guests will have the opportunity to meet Bill and view a collection of his original work and prints.
