Years and years ago, the women on my husband’s side of the family had a tradition of exchanging simple gifts when we gathered at Thanksgiving. We each found an item we loved and then purchased enough to give one to each lady present. I remember finding these sweet magnets and feeling like I had the perfect gift for our exchange! Made with old silverware and filled with dried flowers from my own fields, I now make my own and have them available through The Flower Field! Message me for details.

In the fall of 2025, I planted another section of peonies on my farm. In the spring of 2026, I was pleasantly surprised by this charming little blossom. She wasn’t one of the varieties I had planted and I didn’t know who she was at first. There was only one bloom and she bloomed before anything else…a give away that she was Claire de Lune. I’m adding more of her to my field this year, and she is one of the 18 varieties I have available to share with all of you! I’m so glad that one root got mixed in with a box of another variety so I could meet her! 😁

I know it’s dahlia digging season and flower lovers everywhere are digging up their tubers to tuck them away for the winter….but you know what else happens this time of year? Peony planting!! Over the next few weeks, I will have hundreds of peony roots showing up at my farm. Some I will plant and some I will share. Here’s a picture of one variety I’m most excited to add to my field: Do Tell. A flirty little pink number who will turn heads when she starts to bloom! Message me if you need her in your collection too! 😉

So many people and businesses came together this afternoon to assemble more than 250 centerpieces for the annual fall banquet of Right to Life of NE Indiana. Flower donations were generously provided by Maria Lesch of Morning Star Homestead, Angie Jiminez of Avia Gardens, Lynn Studebaker of The Elegant Farmer, Janell Hicks and Cara Lane. Today’s volunteers included Elaine Renner & friends, Kimberly Hamilton Floral Design (and mom, Jody!), Beth Telando, Mindy Georgi and friends, Leslie Myer, Jen & Ryann Harris, Brenna Katasonov (and baby Lucy!) and, of course, Fred & Monica Witmer and Ed Pierson, without whom I couldn’t run this flower farm. I’m grateful for this opportunity to bring together folks, flowers and faith to make a Kingdom difference and protect the lives of the unborn. 🌸
