Tree tourism post 😁: Guadalupe National park.

Fall is here. Texas has some gorgeous places to see fall color. The bigtooth maples from Lost maples state park may be famous, but Guadalupe NP has some of the most beautiful colors also: mckittrick canyon and, much more intimate, Smith springs by Frijole ranch . Check it out:

Its is the Genista caterpillar on mountain laurels. Not harmful to the plant but very unsightly. If you are curious or concerned, here is the Texas AM take on it. We rarely treat for it but if you feel the need to, a bioinsecticide like Bt or Spinosad will control them. They only eat leaves so the stems will leaf out again.

Markus Smith's skill and equipment has helped several of our clients get out of very difficult situations and we are not done yet.
