If you've got pine trees in your yard, now's a good time to give them a second look.

August is when heat, dry weather, and long days start catching up with stressed trees. That's also when pine bark beetles become a bigger concern.

The tricky part? They don't usually go after healthy trees first.

They look for trees that are already struggling.

A healthy pine is your best defense, which is why late summer is a great time to pay attention to thinning needles, browning branches, or anything that just doesn't look quite right.

A lot of what we do is helping homeowners catch small problems before they become expensive ones.

When severe weather strikes, every minute matters.

Responding quickly is only part of the job. Working safely, communicating clearly, and helping homeowners through a stressful situation is what matters most.

There's something about late August in Alabama.

The days are just a little shorter. School's back in session. And before long, those first hints of fall will start showing up in our trees.

We love watching the seasons change right alongside the communities we serve. Thank you for trusting Gray's Tree Service to help care for your trees year after year.

Here's to enjoying these last few weeks of summer—and making sure our trees are ready for what's next.

It's been a long Alabama summer.

Weeks of heat.
Heavy downpours.
Strong winds.
Then more heat.

If your trees look a little different than they did back in May, you're not imagining it.

Just like our lawns and gardens, trees feel the effects of summer too. The good news is that many issues can be addressed before they become bigger concerns.

A little attention now can go a long way toward keeping your trees healthy for seasons to come.
