Hey guys, I have a slightly weird ask? 🤷🏻‍♀️🫣🌱

I’m building a little section of the Plant Your Peace website and would very much like to feature some words from people I’ve crossed paths with over the years in the plant world. 💚

While Plant Your Peace is a newer business (that encapsulates botanical creations, garden design, horticultural education and so on) …I’d love to give newcomers a little glimpse into the conversations and experiences that came before it. ☮️

If you’re comfortable sharing a few words about your experience, a comment/message would be immeasurable. 🍃 Nothing formal and no pressure. 🫶🏼

▪️ Did we navigate your plant selections so that you were mostly successful throughout the growing season? Did we navigate a gardening dilemma?
▪️ Have we just had a really good conversation about something you grew or were wanting to grow?
▪️ Maybe we talked about nothing and everything. 😂

It’s fall, time to admire the garden while actively ignoring the perennials that need cutting back…😅 the plants we bought without any clear intention of where to put them and the general autumnal housekeeping we’ve been pretending not to see. 🍂

Most of these botanical residents have generally conducted themselves with minimal supervision. A garden that requires a lot from you? BLEGH 🤮. A garden that looks like you spend every waking moment tending to it, but largely minds its own business…😉💅

🌸 Supertunia Vista® Jazzberry® for a vibrant, magenta-purple welcome.

🌲 Weeping Blue Spruce (Picea pungens ‘The Blues’) a dwarf evergreen with cascading branches.

🥑 Guacamole Hosta (Hosta ‘Guacamole’) chartreuse green with moderately large leaves, handles part sun.

🌿 Scotch Moss (Sagina subulata ‘Aurea’) softens any statuary or hardscape, chartreuse groundcover for a little enchanted forest energy.

🌲 Weeping Blue Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica ‘Glauca Pendula’) architectural and mildly haunted.

🌸 Vanilla Strawberry® Hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata ‘Renhy’) creamy white blooms that gradually blush pink as the season progresses…hoping to limb up into a tree eventually.

PUMPKIN & MUM BINGO: in the books. 🎃🖤 We did have this completely normal sky to start…

Then we called some numbers and gave away a healthy quantity of pumpkins & mums. Entire autumn displays were loaded into trunks by fading raining daylight and a *very* committed September breeze.

Thank you to Clover Nook Farm for continuing to give these gatherings a place to happen, and most importantly, thank YOU for spending your evening with Plant Your Peace. Every ticket, share, kind word, familiar face and new face allows us to keep creating questionable recreational horticulture events.

Please give your new pumpkins the ridiculous amount of admiration they deserve, 🎃💛 until the next gathering. 👋🏼
