Some current pictures of Sarracenia x moorei 'Conversation Piece' in the nursery.

This gorgeous hybrid of two native Pitcher Plants - S. flava and S. leucophylla - requires full to part sun and consistently moist (but not soggy), acidic, lean, peat-based soil. If you don't have a pond, rain, or bog garden, don't worry! It can easily be grown in containers filled with acidic, peaty soil that may be inserted into other areas of your garden.

The pitchers are actually modified leaves that present all season, while the red, nodding flowers appear in early to mid-spring.

Deer and rabbit resistant; attracts native bees (primarily bumblebees), honeybees, wasps, and flies. The mature size is 24-26" tall and 12-18" wide. Hardy in zones 5a to 9b.
